Σήμερα μεγάλη γιορτή της Ορθοδοξίας "τα Εισόδια της Θεοτόκου". Πανηγυρίζει ο ναός της Αγίας Επίσκεψης στην πόλη μας που θαρρώ είναι ο μοναδικός στην Ελλάδα μ΄αυτή την προσωνυμία.
Επειδή αυτή γιορτή συνέπιπτε με το τέλος της σποράς των δημητριακών σε όλη την Ελλάδα σύμφωνα με την παράδοση, μαγείρευαν μια πηχτή σούπα από μια πανσπερμία δημητριακών & οσπρίων. Γιαυτό τη γιορτή αυτή την ονόμαζαν "Παναγία Αποσπορίτισσα ή κατά το θεσσαλικό ιδίωμα "Παναγία ποσπορίτσα".
Κι εγώ τηρώντας την παράδοση μαγείρεψα σιτάρι, φασόλια άσπρα, φακές, ρεβύθια και πασπάλισα με σπόρους ροδιού.
Today is a great feast of Orthodoxy "the Entry of the Virgin".
The church of the Holy Visitation is celebrating in our city, which I believe is the only one in Greece with this name.
Because this celebration coincided with the end of the sowing of cereals throughout Greece according to tradition, they cooked a thick soup from a panspermia of cereals & legumes. That is why this celebration was called "Panagia Asporitissa" or according to the Thessalian idiom "Panagia possporitsa".
I too, following tradition, cooked wheat, white beans, lentils, chickpeas and sprinkled with pomegranate seeds.
