ΜΑΡΓΑΡΙΤΑΡΕΝΙΟ ΚΟΛΛΙΕ (PEARL NECKLACE)

ΜΕΤΑΒΑΛΛΩΝΤΑΣ ΒΑΖΑΚΙΑ ΣΕ ΚΗΡΟΠΗΓΙΑ (TURNING VASES INTO CANDLEHOLDERS)

 

Στο σημερινό μας μάθημα στο 5ο ΚΑΠΗ μεταμορφώσαμε άχρηστα ποτήρια και βαζάκια χωρίς καπάκι σε κηροπήγια ως εξής:

Αφού απομονώσουμε με χαρτοταινία το άνω και κάτω μέρος κάθε βάζου χρησιμοποιύμε την τεχνική embru. Σε μεγάλο ρηχό πλαστικό βάζο ρίχνιυμε αρκετό νερό. Μετά σταλάζουμε σταγόνες από διάφορα παλιά βερνίκια νυχιών Τα βερνίκια επλέουν στο νερό. Τονίζουμε την περιδίνιση με ένα καλαμάκι. (Αυτό είναι προαιρετικό). Κυλάμε πάνω στο νερό τα κηροπήγια και τα βερνίκια επικάθωνται στην επιφάνεια του γυαλιού. μετά το στέγνωμα αφαιρούμε τη χαρτοταινία. Εντός τοποθετείται ηλεκτρικό ρεσώ.. Το στόμιο μπορεί να διακοσμηθεί με κορδέλλα. 

In today's class at the 5th KAPI (Senior Citizens' Center), we transformed discarded glasses and lidless jars into candle holders as follows:

After masking off the top and bottom sections of each jar with masking tape, we used the *ebru* (marbling) technique. We poured a generous amount of water into a large, shallow plastic container and added drops of various old nail polishes, allowing them to float on the surface. We swirled the colors using a straw (this step is optional). We then rolled the candle holders across the water, allowing the polish to adhere to the glass surface. Once dry, we removed the masking tape. An electric tea light was placed inside, and the rim could be decorated with a ribbon.

ΤΑΡΤΑΚΙΑ ΜΕ ΜΑΡΜΕΛΑΔΑ ΚΑΙ ΑΜΥΓΔΑΛΟ (MINI TARTS WITH ALMOND & JAM)

 

Αυτά τα ταρτάκια έγιναν με ζύμη που επεξεργάστηκε στον αρτοπαρασκευαστή, ακολουθώντας τις εξής αναλογίες:

120 γρ. βούτυρο ( ή φυτική μαργαρίνη )

1 αυγό ( ολόκληρο )

1 κρόκο αυγού

300 γρ. αλεύρι

1 πρέζα αλάτι 

100 γρ. ζάχαρη

Μισό φακελάκι μπαίκιν πάουντερ

Λίγο χυμό λεμονιού ή λίγη βανίλια

Βάλτε στον κάδο τα στερεά υλικά και το βούτυρο κομμένο σε μικρά κομματάκια.Επιλέξτε το πρόγραμμα μόνον ζύμωμω. Αναμείξτε μέχρι το μείγμα να μοιάζει με χοντρόκοκκη άμμο.Σταματήστε το μίξερ και προσθέστε τα υπόλοιπα υλικά (αφού τα έχετε αναμείξει προηγουμένως μεταξύ τους) τη ζάχαρη μαζί με τα αυγά (στα οποία έχει ήδη διαλυθεί το αλάτι).

Θέστε ξανά το μίξερ σε λειτουργία. Μόλις το μείγμα αρχίσει να ενώνεται σε μάζα, μεταφέρετέ το σε μια επιφάνεια εργασίας.

Ενώστε γρήγορα τη ζύμη με τα χέρια σας (για να αποφύγετε την ανάπτυξη της γλουτένης) μέχρι να σχηματίσετε μια λεία και ομοιογενή μπάλα.

Τυλίξτε τη ζύμη με μεμβράνη και φυλάξτε τη στο ψυγείο ή στην κατάψυξη.

Όταν θελήσετε να τη χρησιμοποιήσετε, ανοίξτε τη ζύμη ανάμεσα σε δύο φύλλα λαδόκολλας· είναι ιδανική τόσο για μπισκότα όσο και για τάρτες.

Γεμίστε τα ταρτάκια με μαρμελάδα της επιλογής σας και πασπαλίσστε με ψιλοκομμένο αμύγδαλο. Ο χρόνος ψησίματος εξαρτάται σημαντικά από τον φούρνο που χρησιμοποιείτε· γενικά, ψήστε στους 170°C για περίπου 20–25 λεπτά.  

Προαιρετικά μετά ψήσιμο πασπαλίστε με ζάχαρη άχνη

These mini tarts were made using dough prepared in a bread machine, following these proportions:

120g butter (or vegetable margarine)

1 whole egg

1 egg yolk

300g flour

1 pinch of salt

100g sugar

Half a sachet of baking powder

A little lemon juice or vanilla

Place the dry ingredients and the butter (cut into small pieces) into the pan. Select the "dough-only" program. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse sand. Stop the machine and add the remaining ingredients—having mixed them together beforehand—specifically the sugar and the eggs (with the salt already dissolved in them).

Restart the machine. Once the mixture begins to come together into a mass, transfer it to a work surface.

Quickly bring the dough together with your hands (to avoid developing gluten) until you form a smooth, uniform ball.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator or freezer.

When you are ready to use it, roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper; it is ideal for both cookies and tarts. Fill the tartlets with the jam of your choice and sprinkle with finely chopped almonds. Baking time depends significantly on the oven you use; generally, bake at 170°C for about 20–25 minutes.

Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking.
