ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΠΕΜΠΤΗ Η ΜΕΡΑ ΤΟΥ ΒΑΨΙΜΑΤΟΣ ΤΩΝ ΑΥΓΩΝ (HOLY THURSDAY IS THE DAY OF EGG PAINTING)

 

Το έθιμο απο παλιά πρόσταζε σήμερα οι νοικοκυρές να βάφουν τα αυγά του Πάσχα.

Από βραδύς τα βάζαμε σε νερό για καθαρίσει η επιφάνεια τους και το πρωΐ τα σκουπίζαμε Παλιότερα βάφαμε τ΄αυγά μονον κόκκινα. Κάθε μια άπλωνε κάτι κόκκινο μια μπλούζα , ή μια κουβέρτα στο σύρμα. Τα αυγά βαφόταν ή σκέτα ή  τυλιγμένα σε κομάτια κάλτσας ή τούλι με φύλλα για να μείνει το αποτύπωμα τους. Τα αυγά αυτά στα Τρίκαλα τα λέμε πλούμπες. Μόλις ετοιμαζόταν η βαφή βουτούσανε μια μάλλινη κλωστή και την κρεμουσανε στο σύρμα (για να πετύχει το χρώμα!!!!!). Τότε οι βαφές ήταν  μόνο ζεστού νερού. Αργότερα μάθαμε να τυλίγουμε σε τούλι με κρεμμυδόφυλλα & να τα βράζουμε σε σκέτο νερό για να παίρνουν όψη μαρμάρου ή να τα βράζουμε με κλωστές τυλιγμένα σε αλουμινόχαρτο.

Το πρώτο αυγό το βάζανε στο εικονοστάσι απ΄όπου παίρναν το αυγό της προηγουμένη χρονιάς που διατηρείτο ανέπαφο και το βράδυ που πηγαίνανε την εκκλησσία το ρίχνανε στο ποτάμι.

Εφέτος έβαψα αυγά με διάφορους τρόπους, αλά είναι ασυναγώνιστα τα ζωγραφισμένα της Maia Kamenarova. Αν θέλετε να επειχειρήσετε κάτι τέτοιο μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε μαρκαδόρους για διάφορα υλικά Giotto. Είναι λίγο χοντρή η μύτη τους αλλά η βαφή δεν δίνει εντύπωση ανάγλυφη. Οπωσδήποτε σε ήδη βρασμένα αυγά.

In the evening we put them in water to clean their surface and in the morning we wiped them. In the past we painted the eggs only red. Each one spread something red on a blouse, or a blanket on the wire.

The eggs were dyed either plain or wrapped in sock or tulle with leaves to leave their mark. We call these eggs in Trikala plumps. As soon as the dye was ready, they dipped a woolen thread and hung it on the wire (to achieve the color !!!!!). At that time the paints were only hot water. Later we learned to wrap in tulle with onion leaves & boil them in plain water to make them look like marble or to boil them with threads wrapped in aluminum foil.

The first egg was laid in the icontable from where they took last year's egg that was kept intact and on the night they went to church they threw it in the river.

This year I painted eggs in different ways, but Maia Kamenarova's paintings are unbeatable. If you want to try something like this you can use markers for different Giotto materials. Their nose is a bit thick but the paint does not give a textured impression. Definitely in already boiled eggs.
