Σε ένα συρτάρι της ντουλάπας του εξοχικού μου βρήκα ένα καρέ με κέντημα σταυροβελονιάς, το οποίο είχε κεντηθεί πριν από εκατό χρόνια!!!!!!!
Το κέντημα διατηρείται άφθαρτο & αναλλοίωτο λόγω της καλής ποιότητας του υφάσματος στο οποίο είναι κεντημένο και επίσης τα χρώματα των κλωστών δεν έχουν ξεβάψει καθόλου. Τα μοτίφ του κεντήματος ήταν τα αγαπημένα της μητέρας μου και της θείας μου, που το είχα κεντήσει σε πράσινο χρώμα στην παιδική μου ηλικία για να εμπεδώσω το κέντημα με σταυροβελονιά, επίσης θυμάμαι το ίδιο μοτίφ να υφαίνεται σε φλοκωτά χαλάκια σε μπλέ χρώμα σε λευκό φόντο. Τότε τα σχέδια κυκλοφορούσαν από χέρι σε χέρι.
