ΕΥΧΕΣ ΜΕ ΠΑΡΑΔΟΣΙΑΚΗ ΠΙΤΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ 2023 (WISHES WITH TRADITIONAL PIE FOR 2023)

 

Για το νέο έτος θα σας ευχηθώ με την παραδοσιακή πρωτοχονιάτικη πίτα των Τρικάλων.

Μέχρι και τη δεκαετία του1970 στη δυτική Θεσσαλία, αλλά νομίζω και σε όλο το θεσσαλικό κάμπο η πρωτοχρονιάτικη πίτα δεν ήταν μια βασιλόπητα τύπου κέικ ή τσουρεκιού που έχουμε σήμερα .

Ήταν μια μεγάλη κρεατόπιτα που έφτιαχνε η νοικοκυρά του σπιτιού την παραμονή & κοβόταν & τρωγόταν στο μεσημεριανό τραπέζι της ΠρωτοχρονιάςΤα φύλλα στις πίτες ήταν πολύ μεγαλύτερα από το ταψί & τέλος τύλιγαν τις άκρες τους σε ρολό, τα λεγόμενα κόθωρα & κάπου εκεί έκρυβαν το τυχερό νόμισμα.

Το μεσημέρι της Πρωτοχρονιάς όλη η οικογένεια καθόταν στο τραπέζι & αφού έτρωγαν την καθιερωμένη σούπα, η νοικοκυρά τοποθετούσε στο κέντρο του τραπεζιού την πίτα μέσα στο ταψί.(Συνήθως ήταν ένα μεγάλο ρηχό ταψί το λεγόμενο σινί) & ο νοικοκύρης του σπιτιού αφού την έστριβε τρεις φορές για το καλό την έκοβε σε τρίγωνα κομμάτια & ο κάθε συνδαιτημόνας έπαιρνε το κομμάτι που βρισκόταν μπροστά του.

Τα παλιότερα χρόνια (εγώ πρόλαβα το έθιμο στην παιδικήμου ηλικία), εκτός από το φλουρί η κάθε οικογέμεια έβαζε ένα σημάδι από τα περιουσιακά της στοιχεία: Κλήμα για τα αμπέλια, χαλίκι για τα μαντριά των ζώων, άχυρο για τα χωράφιακλπ. Θυμάμαι τη γιαγιά μου που είχε ένα μερίδιο σε ένα δάσος έβαζε γι΄αυτό ένα κομματάκι δαδί! Μάλλον το έθιμο είχε προκύψει από τις μεγάλες παλιές αγροτικές οικογένειες που κατ΄αυτόν τον τρόπο μοίραζαν τις αγροτικές εργασές στο νέο έτος. Μάλιστα δε αν στη οικογένεια υπήρχαν αγόρια & κορίτσια της παντρειάς έβαζαν και ένα δαχτυλιδάκι κι όποιος το έβρισκε πίστευαν πως θα παντρευόταν μέσα στο νέο χρόνο!

Ήταν ένα έθιμο που έσβησε κι αυτό μαζί με τα αυθόρμητα κάλαντα των παιδιών & πολλά άλλα στην πορεία του χρόνου.
