Η ΕΙΚΟΝΑ ΤΗΣ ΑΓΙΑΣ ΕΥΦΗΜΙΑΣ (THE IMAGE OF SAINT EYPHIMIA)

Επί τη ευκαιρία της Κυριακής της Ορθοδοξίας & της επετείου της Αναστηλώσεως των εικόνων, φιλοτέχνησα μερικές μεταξύ των οποία είναι & η εικόνα της Αγίας Ευφημίας (της οποίας το λείψανο φυλάσσεται στον πατριαρχικό ναό του Αγίου Γεωργίου στην Κωνσταντινούπολη), προστάτριας των μοδιστρών. Επειδή το ράψιμο & εν γένει η χειροτεχνία είναι από τις αγαπημένες μου ασχολίες την επέλεξα.

On the occasion of the Sunday of Orthodoxy and the anniversary of the Restoration of the icons, I have created some of which is the icon of Saint Euphemia (whose relic is kept in the patriarchal church of St. George in Constantinople), the patron saint of the mosquitoes. Because sewing & in general craftsmanship is one of my favorite choices I chose it.
