ΜΑΝΤΙ , ΕΝΑ ΜΙΚΡΑΣΙΑΤΙΚΟ ΦΑΓΗΤΟ (MANTI, A FOOD OF ASIA MINOR)
I made for the first time a food that comes to our place along with the refugees of Asia Minor. I cook it by following the instructions of my beloved friend Stauroula Tsitoglou from the village Kapadokikiko of Karditsa, cut from her mother and grandmother who are descendants of refugees who, after the exchange of populations in 1924 from distant Tsohour of Cappadocia, ended up in the Thessalian plain. From all the recipes I found on the internet the most similar recipe is the Armenian Manti in the way described here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k-x4DbQ0eY&t=3s except that a small grated potato is added to the minced meat mix. The delicious result was excellent.
