ΟΙ ΒΑΣΙΛΟΠΙΤΕΣ ΤΟΥ 2019 (THE PIES OF 2019)

Τηρώντας το έθιμο για τον ερχομό του νέου χρόνου, έφτιαξα δυο βασιλόπιτες για το πρωτοχρονιάτικο τραπέζι, μια τύπου κέικ ακολουθώντας τη συνταγή εδώ: https://akispetretzikis.com/el/categories/keik/vasilopita-keik & μια παραδοσιακή με τον τρόπο που περιγράφω εδώ:

Κοτόπιτα πρωτοχρονιάτικη:

Αυτή την πίτα τη φτιάχνουμε στα Τρίκαλα μόνο την πρωτοχρονιά με δώδεκα χειροποίητα φύλλα (όσοι & οι μήνες του χρόνου) & με γέμιση ψαχνού βρασμένης κότας που την έχουμε κόψει σε κομματάκια, αχνισμένα κρεμμύδια ,δυο-τρία χτυπημένα αυγά, τριμμένα κίτρινα τυριά & γλυκό τραχανά να να μαζεύει τα υγρά .Τα περισσεύματα των φύλλων τα στρίβουμε ρολό, το λεγόμενο κόθωρο ,όπου εκεί τοποθετείται το τυχερό νόμισμα.  Τα παλιά χρόνια στο κόθωρο έβαζαν & άλλα αντικείμενα όπως χαλίκι, άχυρο, κλήμα ,κεραμίδι που συμβόλιζαν αντίστοιχα περιουσιακά στοιχεία χωράφια ,αμπέλια, πρόβατα.κλπ. & όποιος τα

έβρισκε το νέο έτος θα ευημερούσε στον αντίστοιχο τομέα. Ακόμη έβαζαν κι ένα δαχτυλίδι κι όποιος τ έβρισκε θα παντρευόταν μέσα στο χρόνο!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chicken pie New Year:

This pie is made in Trikala only on the New Year's Day, with twelve handmade leaves (all the months of the year) and stuffed with a boiled chicken sliced into pieces, fried onions, two or three beaten eggs, grated yellow cheeses & sweet trachana to collecting fluids. The leftovers of the leaves turn the roll, the so-called juncture, where the lucky currency is placed there. In the old days in the grove were placed other objects such as gravel, straw, vine, tile that symbolized corresponding assets of fields, vineyards, sheep. and anyone who found them in the new year would prosper in the field. They also put a ring and anyone who found them would be married in time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
